Between 2000 and 2003 ENB Ltd developed part of the geodatabase for the olive and vineyard register by using AutoCad Map at first and then by using the then new ArcGIS 8.3 software.
Since the beginning of 2004 we are keeping all production geographical data in an integrated geodatabase under ArcGIS and ArcSDE / Oracle 9i. Data used for surface hydrology and network systems have a linkage and user interfaces with the HEC family of programs. Software from DHI is still relying on personal geodatabases (Microsoft Access) although Oracle 9i can serve them directly. All software is running under the Microsoft Windows 2003 server O/S. In 2004 we developed a full software application for the IACS System in Cyprus by using the ArcGIS Server 9.0 software.
The user manual (as help file embedded) can be downloaded as
pdf here (only in Greek, 1,8 MB). By the summer of 2005 we started developing custom applications for the GIS Department by using PDC Visual Prolog 6.2. We combine Prolog AI with routines written in C and Intel Assembly for fast applications.
In the years 2006-7 we have been working for a large scale
Project on Water Resources Management of Northern Greece using ArcGIS 9.1 and
software MIKE 11, -BASIN, -SHE from DHI
(Denmark). Here is a sample picture Sample

We also develop custom applications using Intel Assembler and Visual Prolog for
very fast applications combined with artificial intelligence (data mining etc)
as well as semantic web applications. A paper presented in Portugal last year
can be downloaded here.
For the past 20 years ENB SA (former Ltd) has gained substantial experience in all fields related to rural and agricultural development (topography, mapping and data aquisition). Some years ago our company was awarded the "Pilot project for establishing an olive grove register" in Greece, financed by the EU and the
Greek state. After completing the programme using a classical database data management system we proceeded to installing the powerful ARC/INFO program running under a SUN server and NT workstations; a year later the newly emerged GIS department has been fully operational starting a new project in the area of land cover/use for the greek Ministry of Agriculture. The project has been successfully finished in October 1998 and a more
detailed description can be found by following the links above.
